FAQ's with Howling Basset

1. It all seems, too simple?
Actually it is, there's one price and one service. No added extras, prints or anything at all. All the photos taken are put on disk and into an attractive Spicer Hallfield folio and they're all yours to do with as you wish.

2. How many photographs do you take?
As many as we can. It completely depends on the weather, number of guests, time allocated to photography, willingness of guests etc. So anywhere from 150 to 450 would be normal.

3 Photographs before the ceremony?
Well ... we do offer this service but do not promote it anymore, the reason being that unless you are leaving from a stately home, or have fantastic gardens then this rarely produces many great shots. Plus this extra travel means the photographer has to race to the ceremony, find parking and usually in an area not familiar to them so arrives stressed. Any shots that would have been taken (Bride with parents, bridesmaids etc) are just photographed later, either at the ceremony or reception.

4. What format are the photographs sent over in?
The photos are shot in RAW format are processed and then converted to high res jpeg files.

5. Can I get more copies of the CDs?
Yes of course, these are just charged at cost, so a couple of CDs, a folio case if you need and postage so around £15 .. .£3 without folio case.

6. How long do you keep the photos for?
We take back-up and archiving seriously, photos are archived on archival quality DVD, Hard Disk, REV disks and are in three different locations.

7. How long do you stay until?
We normally stay until the food is served at the reception, faking a cake cutting before we go ... this means that the only shot we'll be missing is the first dance, which is really better served by video.

8. Do you carry back-up equipment?
Yes, we shoot on professional digital cameras and use the finest quality lenses. I carry multiples of anything that could malfunction. Digital allows for greater flexibility than film, and ultimately offers a wider scope for creativity.
