Howling Basset: the wedding service

Your Howling Basset photographer will be with you through the bridal preparations, the wedding ceremony, reception and your first dance.

We take as many photographs as possible, depending on the weather, number of guests etc but it's usually somewhere between 400-600 shots. All of which are included on your disk. Every photo will be colour balanced and tweaked as necessary. Minor retouching is also carried out. This process takes a full day and is included in our fee.

Our coverage ranges between 8-10 hours, depending on your wedding timings.

We'll provide you with all the copyright free high resolution photographs taken, this is unlike most other wedding photographers who retain ownership of your photos and charge high prices for prints and albums. Your photographs will be with you two to three weeks after the wedding. The reason for the delay is that we go through each photograph to crop, balance the colours and make any corrections thought necessary, this takes another full day. We'll also put everything onto your very own web page for your friends and family to see, comment and download. You'll also receive a DVD "showreel" of all the shots set to music of your choice and an 80 page - 7"x 7" Photobook. The images for your photobook are chosen by Howling Basset.

A deposit of £150 secures your booking with the balance due a couple of weeks before the big day. Howling Basset doesn't include a visit prior to the wedding, as most couples are happy to discuss their requirements over the phone or via email. The different photographic styles explained:

Traditional (Classical) - This the most formal style where the guests are posed and arranged.
Reportage (Documentary) - More creative, natural shots without the photographer being too visible.
Contemporary - A combination of the two above.

Howling Basset fall into the latter, Contemporary style; combining formal group shots with capturing any spontaneous moments and natural portraits. Thus ensuring you'll get a great selection of images.

Howling Basset has full Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance, for your peace of mind.

Howling Basset Limited comprises of hand-picked and hugely experienced Kent based wedding photographers.
On days with multiple weddings, Howling Basset employs another photographer as a standby in case of an emergency.
