Howfield Manor Hotel Wedding Photos
Howfield Manor Hotel was the Kent reception venue for Heidi and Dan but their day started in the lovely little church of Nonington just outside Canterbury. Heidi decided she’d rather forego the preparation photos and have a rather nice and swanky large photobook instead as part of her package. The lady Vicar at the church was almost too perfect as she was incredibly helpful and allowed me to do anything I wanted. She wanted me to get the best shots of the couple possible. What a great attitude and a far cry from most vicars who say you have to stay at the back and not to use flash at all. I’ve even had one vicar this year who insisted on no photos inside the church at all. Thankfully I carry a Fuji X100 which is a lovely and more importantly completely silent camera so I was able to get a couple of the couple. The services was lovely and nice, even for an old hand like me , to see a couple who obviously were in love, and no that is not always the case unfortunately. After the lovely ceremony is was off to the Howfield Manor Hotel just outside Canterbury here in Kent for the reception. The Manor has many aspects for photography and if you wished to get married there is a decked exterior gazebo space which is great and overlooks the pastures; very photogenic. The reception drinks were served in a new extension which opens out onto raised decking, a bonus this time of year and the grass is usually soggy and not great for the ladies in their high heels. This was the area I finished of the group shots and also the big group shot of everyone. Then is was off around the grounds of the Howfield Manor Hotel with Heidi and Dean for some romantic shots of just the two of them. Howfield Manor Wedding Photos by Howling Basset.
