Sigma 20mm F1.4 ART Vs Voightlander 20mm F3.5 Color-Skopar

Here is my latest purchase a Sigma 20mm F1.4 ART series lens next to my outgoing 20mm, the Voightlander 20mm F3.5 Color-Skopar.

I originally bought the Voightlander because of its size. It’s tiny and manual focus, autofocus isn’t really needed on such a wide angled lens and I literally only used it for the group shots of all the guests at a wedding.

Now I’m getting into interior photography I needed something with much better sharpness, light gathering ability, less distortion and with much less vignetting. As a fan and previous purchaser of Sigma Art glass a 35mm and 85mm and as Amazon had a new one, without packaging for an absolute steal … I now have this awesome lens. Even without editing with lens profiles, the shots displayed on the camera’s LCD are much, much better than the Voight. 🙂
