Tower House Canterbury wedding photography for Charlene and Marcel

A wonderful and intimate wedding for Charlene and Marcel at a new venue in Canterbury for me the Tower House.
The guys are Dutch and had their family come over to celebrate their big day in Kent.

Marcel picked up their guests from local hotels and then they all set off down the river for a punt in three previously booked boats. Although I have lived in Canterbury and Kent for twenty of years myself I have never been for a river trip. Truly wonderful and a brilliant photo opportunity too.

During the ceremony where it came to the bit where the registrar asks who gives Charlene to Marcel, Charlene’s father instead of saying I do, told everyone he had something he wanted to say.

A little nervous at this point obviously but he went on to say that Marcel had never formally asked for Charlene’s hand in marriage. Very tongue in cheek of course but Marcel had to ask his father-in-law for her hand formally before the ceremony could proceed. Very funny and charming.

Couple shots within the lovely grounds surrounding Tower House and then Charlene and Marcel joined their guests for a cream tea.
